Step 1 - DECLUTTER!
As the first step in this proposed multi-year endeavor, the team has hired contractors and organized volunteers to sort the building’s contents into usable or historically significant categories and unwanted items, either damaged beyond repair or obsolete. The owners of these materials, including the county archives and Vigilance Club, have removed many items of importance. Based on an initial assessment, approximately half of the items consisting of intact furniture and leftover building materials will be retained and repurposed within the building.
